Today, I went over some of the dialogue and other text in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in order to understand how Huck forms his sentences, thinks, and speaks in dialogue. I also began my project's first few sentences/intro. My next step will be to continue work on my project. I plan to continue with what I have already written and begin to form Huck as a person, using what I already know from the book.
The biggest hurdle in this project that I will need to overcome will be the achievement of Huck as a believable character in a present-day setting. I still have to figure out how to maintain Huck's misplaced conscience.
